Growing up in WV, sports was a way of life to keep busy and stay out of trouble for Stacy. She was active with softball, track, league basketball and volleyball. She also gave her life to Jesus at the age of 5 years old and continued to be quite involved in her youth group. She graduated from St Francis Medical Center Nursing School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1999 and then completed her BSN at Waynesburg College in 2002. She has worked as a Registered Nurse for over 22 years, mostly in the field of organ donation and transplantation. Since August 2021, she began working as a School Nurse for Yadkin County Schools. She has been married to Gardener for 25 years and have one son, Noah who is seven yrs old. They moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Greenville, NC in 2005, then moved to the Winston Salem area in 2014 to be closer to family in WV. In 2017, after looking for a place to grow roots for a few years, they were blessed to finally find their home in Yadkin County. They also became members of Collide Church in Yadkinville. Hobbies include: camping, kayaking, hiking, caving, WVU sports, watching/cheering Noah along with his sports and recently took up pottery. Her go to Bible Verses are Jeremiah 29:11 and Philippians 4:6-7. She looks forward to helping students find their identity in Christ through sports and a love for Jesus.
