John Cox

     John Cox is currently a Human Resources Consultant for business and industry. As a career Human Resources professional, John retired from Hanesbrands in 2017. He is a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church where he serves as a Sunday school teacher and Chair of the Church Council. John has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Crosby National Celebrity Golf Tournament at Bermuda Run, Chair, Carver High School Board of Management and Chair, Wingate University Board of Visitors. He has also been named a Distinguish Alumni of Wingate University.

     John and his wife Trudy reside in Rural Hall, N.C. They are the parents of two grown children, Jay Cox and Sarah Jane Cox Crompton, who live in Winston Salem. John and Trudy are the grandparents of five grandchildren. Having served as a church youth counselor and Sunday school teacher for teens and children, John sincerely enjoys working with young people. He consistently strives to guide and encourage young people to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

     One of John's favorite Bible verses is Galatians 5:22-23, "The fruit of the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self control."
