Dan Tricarico, AKA, Coach T. retired in 2017 after 37 years of teaching and coaching; 34 of them at East Davidson High School in Thomasville. Coach T. was the Varsity Mens’ Basketball Coach from 1983-1990, the Baseball Coach from 1985-2015, and the FCA Huddle Coach for 32 years. Dan Tricarico believes he is eternally indebted to FCA. “My involvement with FCA while a student at UNCW led me to my relationship with Jesus Christ” “Many of our student athletes have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and FCA can be the vehicle to lead them to Christ.” Coach T has been married to his wife Freda for 37 years. They have one daughter Toni, a granddaughter Jacee, and are expecting their first grandson Nash in March. A favorite Bible Verse of Coach T’s is Romans 8:28. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called to his purpose”.
