Bruce is originally from Oklahoma and has been a Sooner almost from birth. He was stationed in North Carolina after college with the Air Force and has reminded here since.  His background is in law and he practiced in the Winston Salem area for over 47 years and still continues to do so on a limited basis.

He loves scriptures and tries to memorize new ones often. It is hard to say what particular verse is his favorite. Ephesians 1:11, similar to Romas 8:28, comes to mind: "In Him we were also chosen having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will."

Bruce has been involved with FCA for at least 20 years and has served on the Advisory Board since then. The reason he is committed to FCA is the profound impact this ministry has on young people. The sports platform is a big part of our society, and he believes God has given is this opportunity to use it for His glory.

One piece of practical advice Bruce would share with our youth is that a life given to Jesus Christ is not only the best life you could live now but that is never ends, ever!
